Dying to Dye

A year ago I spent two days dyeing wool roving for making felt beads. This is the result of those two days. I did a lot of experimenting with colors. Some worked, some didn’t, but all in all it was a very fun two days. I’d like to do some more dyeing, but where I live now I don’t really have the room. I did this outdoors – in my garage with the garage door open – because I wasn’t too sure about the fumes and how much of a mess I’d make. I no longer have a garage and I live in a pretty small apartment. Also, all of these colors were achieved with synthetic dyes, and in the next batch I’d like to try using natural dyes. (And maybe next time I’ll also dye some yarn, since I knit as well!)
